Faisal Daudpota
Mr. Daudpota’s practice covers transactional and contentious matters relating to competition, intellectual property, data protection, information technology, telecommunications, and competition.
Mr. Daudpota has developed a niche in the area of competition law in the Middle East and has advised a number of clients on competition law regimes in the select jurisdictions of the Middle East. He recently coordinated advice to one of the world’s largest food and nutrition companies as to merger control regulations as to merger control regime in Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Daudpota is expert at counseling clients on all aspects of laws relating to intellectual property prosecutions and enforcement in many jurisdictions all across Middle East as well as internationally; managed multiple litigation’s and instructed counsels in trademark infringement and counterfeiting matters in various countries.
Mr. Daudpota has also worked on intellectual property projects for Organization for Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD), has co-authored the digital signatures law for Pakistan, has authored intellectual property laws for the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) (to be promulgated), and has commented on a number of national legislations around the world.
Mr. Daudpota also has the experience of advising clients in various other areas of laws, such as, banking, Internet, data protection (including the issues pertaining to privacy, data processing, and data transfer, electronic and digital disclaimers on public access websites and secured web portal, conflict of laws issues in relation to data protection compliance), Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), data protection, privacy, civil liberties, human rights, customs, criminal, maritime and anti-corruption.
Mr. Daudpota has also advised World Bank on Pakistan’s legal regime relating to construction licensing, property registration, business start-up, bankruptcy, corporate governance, corporate tax, employment regulations, and contract enforcement.
Mr. Daudpota has been a member of Interpol’s Intellectual Property Crime Action Group (IIPCAG), World Customs Organization’s IPR Strategic Group, and the Steering Committee for the Global Congress on Combating Counterfeiting and Piracy.
In the capacity of member to the Steering Committee for the Global Congress on Combating Counterfeiting and Piracy, Mr. Daudpota has co-organized international conferences in Brussels, Geneva, Istanbul, Rio de Janeiro, Bucharest, Paris, Washington, and Dubai.
Mr. Daudpota has authored many articles covering various legal disciplines. He has also spoken at many international conferences and seminars, especially, those at World Intellectual Property Organization, World Customs Organization and Interpol, in various countries around the world.

Junaid Daudpota
Junaid Daudpota is the partner at Daudpota International, whose practice mainly focuses on Middle East and South Asia.
Mr. Daudpota’s practice covers transactional and contentious matters relating to various other areas of laws, such as competition, employment, banking, internet, agency and franchising, defamation, and anti-corruption, and arbitration.
Mr. Daudpota is expert at counseling clients on all aspects of laws relating to intellectual property prosecutions and enforcement in the gulf countries (including Saudi Arabia). He has coordinated multiple litigations and advised on IP strategy, portfolio management, and infringement matters in various gulf countries.
Mr. Daudpota has also acted as a consultant for the World Bank for Doing Business (country specific) reports. He has also co-authored the books on Competition Law in Pakistan and Anti-Money Laundering Law, and has commented on a number of national legislations around the world.
Mr. Daudpota is a member of International Bar Association (IBA), American Bar Association (ABA), and International Trademark Association (INTA), Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb). He has also been part of number of policy and educational committees.
Mr. Daudpota has also authored articles covering various legal disciplines, and regularly attends and speaks at international conferences and seminars.

Syed Ahmed Jaffar
Syed Ahmed Jaffar is a Senior Associate at Daudpota International, and his practice mainly focuses on Pakistan, South Asia, Middle East and North Africa.
Mr. Jaffar’s expertise vests in transactional and contentious matters relating to Intellectual Property, Franchising, Data Protection, E-Commerce, Corporate and Commercial law.
Mr. Jaffar advises clients with regards to Intellectual Property rights prosecution and enforcement in Pakistan South Asia, Middle East and North Africa, and also represents clients in oppositions and legal actions. He has advised a number of clients as to compliance and legal issues in relation to Franchising transactions in Pakistan, Middle East and North Africa and has also advised select clients on Employment law related matters in Pakistan.

Muhammad Hadi Rehman
Muhammad Hadi Rehman is a Senior Associate at Daudpota International, and his practice mainly focuses on Pakistan and the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA) region.
Mr. Rehman’s practice covers litigation and dispute matters relating to Admiralty and Maritime, Intellectual Property, Customs, Data Protection and Debt Recovery.
Mr. Rehman also advises clients with regards to Corporate Structuring, Company Formation, Shareholder Disputes, Trademark and Copyrights disputes. He has advised a number of clients as to compliance and legal issues in relation to E-Commerce and Data Protection in the Middle East and North Africa.
Mr. Rehman has advised and represented a number of clients as to compliance and legal issues in relation to the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). He has also advised and represented select clients on Customs law related to border enforcement matters.
Mr. Rehman has also co-authored articles related to Data Protection in the Middle East.
Muhammad Ali Farooqui
Muhammad Ali Farooqui is a Junior Associate at Daudpota International, and his practice mainly focuses on Middle Eastern Countries, as well as, Pakistan.
Mr. Farooqui regularly works on matters relating to Intellectual Property disputes, as well as, Data Protection.
Mr. Farooqui has an educational background in various disciplines of law including Contract, Tort, Domestic Sales, and International Arbitration Law.
Mr. Farooqui has also assisted in the authoring of various articles relating to the Tort of Passing Off, as well as, Trademark Infringements.
